Well, I suppose that'll change in NA later on. The DS has many titles in the works, the PSP would be called dead if we went by Tim Buckley's definition (GTA. And what else?).

There are a few good things, including a new Tales title, in development for PSP.   I wouldn't count it out yet, but I agree that the DS lineup for the year looks stronger.  I wish SquareEnix would release some new details on whatever they have planned for each system.

Go little DS, go!
That's my opinion, not yours.

"Tales of Eternia" on the PSP is a port of a PSone game that got released in America as the poorly-named "Tales of Destiny 2".

Tales of Melfes got canned, and shifted to the PS2, where it became "Tales of Legendia".

That's Showko (yes, that's the proper spelling). I'm going to cop out and say that she's the "end boss" of "Super Real Mahjong: Part 2", just because I think she's cute and like having her as my avatar.

The pic is from the website for Super Real Mahjong Dousoukai (Reunion) for the GameBoy Advance, a game that will never ever ever be seen on a Nintendo console in America, despite the fact that Seta/Rocket censored the game into oblivion just to get it on the GBA.

Naru's hairstyle is most instantly recognizable by the little antennae/feelers.

Naah, the front of her hair has (sorry, is there an english word for that? Never seen one, would be damn handy) EXACTLY the same shape as Naru's, down to the last line. I remember because it was a damn nightmare to get that hairstyle down when I made the Q3A version of her.

I believe the section of hair located on the forward section of the head above the eyes and forehead is referred to as "bangs."

yeah, yeah, I know,  bad attemp at a bad joke

I wonder how it will do in the US or EU, not to mention that ALL 3 Nintendogs seem to be in the top 15 weekly too.

DS software is absolutely dominating in Japan, people are buying almost EVERY DS game, third parties have got to be happy. Goemon and Famicom Wars DS should be on the chart next week, DS is unstoppable right now.

Looks like the PSP might be history in two years. Sales in the US will probably slow down or get overtaken by the DS when all the games arrive.

I actually doubt that... well it depends, Gameboy Wars I & II (Advance Wars 1 + 2 in the same game) flopped hard there, that was released just last year I think, and it didn't sell more than 50,000, but that could have had something to do with the fact that Japan got it 3 years late, still, it was good value and I expected more. On the other hand I believe the old Famicom Wars games sold very well, and the fact that this carries the Famicom Wars name means it could also do well. It's a wildcard. Actually, the fact that it's a DS game ensures it will be on the charts.

August is when the next stage of ownage will take place, with Jump Superstars and Dragon Quest coming out, with more games that I forget. Then in November it'll be the final nail in the coffin, with the unstopable trio of Mario Kart, Animal Crossing and POKEMON.. and maybe New Super Mario Bros and Mario & Luigi 2 as well.. my god that will be insane!

The US is a completely different story, I believe the DS has a bit of a struggle there, people will look on the shelves and see lots of crappy movies and assume PSP has 10 times more games than DS. I wish Nintendo would hurry up and release more games in places that aren't Japan.

Wow, that's awsome, there's not even 1 psp game on the entire top 20 list. An that stupid EBgames monkey told me that the psp would be nintendo's final undoing. (He said it so cheerfully too, that bastard)

By the way BlackNMild2k1, where do you get those daily charts from? The only place I know is here, but they aren't translated very well. I'm thinking of documenting daily sales data from now on, for every day, and a better translated chart would be much better, because I can't  make out the real names of the games that i'm not following.

Off-topic:  What's up with Killer 7 being released already in Japan?  And why is the PS2 version on the charts and GC isn't?
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

God forbid Nintendo be right in trying out new kinds of games to attract non-gamers.

You think with this and Nintendogs, they might actually have a point?

Killer 7 debuted at #5 for PS2, and number #7 for GCN, on the same day, June 9. The next day, June 10, the PS2 version slid down to #13 and the GCN version went off the chart completely, never to be seen again. The PS2 version is still flopping around though.

No, you read me wrong Paladin.  I originally poked fun at this games long-ass title and now it's poking me in the face with it's completely random success.

I'm surprised... I thought it was just a nice philosophy, I didn't actually expect immediate success.
