Hot Titles, New I.P., And Next Generation Technology Coming Your Way From Down Under

Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, Australia – June 30, 2004 – Krome Studios, a leading independent developer that is known for creative excellence and technical innovation, is currently developing two video games, "King Arthur" (to be published by Konami Digital Entertainment – America, division of Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc., and Buena Vista Interactive, a publishing label of Buena Vista Games, Inc.) and "TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue" (to be published by Electronic Arts Inc.). In addition to creating these highly-anticipated titles, Krome is working on new intellectual properties and developing technology for next generation consoles.

With more than 120 employees, Krome Studios is one of the leading independent developers in the world and the largest game development studio in Australia. Founded in 1999, the studio is best known for the development of their hit game "TY the Tasmanian Tiger," which has sold more than 1.3 million units worldwide and is the best selling game in Australia of all time. Krome has shipped more than a dozen titles, including "Sunny Garcia Surfing," "Championship Surfing," "Extremely Goofy Skateboarding," "Barbie Beach Vacation," "Jimmy Neutron: Jet Fusion" "and TY the Tasmanian Tiger."

“The future of Krome Studios is promising, and we are excited about our current position in the interactive entertainment industry, said Robert Walsh, Chief Executive Officer of Krome Studios. “The team at Krome prides itself on having an excellent relationship with publishers, and we feel that these relationships – combined with our ground breaking technology – are reflected in the success of our games.”

About "King Arthur"
Based on the upcoming "King Arthur" motion picture from producer Jerry Bruckheimer, directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by David Franzoni, the "King Arthur" video game will immerse fans into the lush environments and vivid scenery from the film. Players take control of the motion picture’s heroes – Arthur, Lancelot, Guinevere, Tristran or Bors – and utilize their unique skills as they embark on a perilous mission revealing the historic tale of the real Knights of the Round Table. Featuring single or cooperative play, combat on horseback and multiple mission types with diverse goals, the "King Arthur" video game will provide a cinematic action adventure experience of epic scale.

About "TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue"
"TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue" picks up where the original popular action platform game left off. Set in the Outback of Australia, "TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue" will offer platform gamers a huge open environment to explore by foot and vehicle. This time around TY is equipped with an arsenal of 21 upgradeable boomerangs, including the Lasharang, Kaboomarang, and Megarang. In addition, the game will feature five different "Mech units" to help TY fight large numbers of enemies and complete mini-missions. With these "Mech units" TY will have the ability to swim under lava; shoot lasers, Blastorangs, water or fire; and much more. TY will also be challenged to complete driving and flying missions featuring combat and puzzle solving, with access to helicopters, submarines, and off-road trucks. Unlockable cart racing mini-games will allow gamers to challenge their friends in seven unique cart racing levels.
