i need help getting past the hinkypunks in the room right after the giant jack in the box. if any one knows how please tell me

ok I was stuck in that room for like 2 hours...LOL... You have to shine the light on the ghost's , they will turn solid (not cloudy like they appear) then you have to hit them with the flipendo spell do this fast, or they will become cloudy again... after you kill them all then it will go into a movie mode you will then have to shine your light on the crystal ball... and you will know what to do from there..... hope that helped....
