We can't keep bumping the news thread in Talkback forever.
So like, yeah. The buy two game, get Zelda free thing is official now. (Big thanks to Mario for grabbing this linkage so I can re-post it in this thread and go uuuumf!)

I'm down with a copy of MGS and Pokemon Channel. I'm just a tad sore about the whole having to destroy the boxes to get the barcode. But 'oh well'. I spose it does prevent turds from getting the games from EB and returning them within the week.

"Erm, I got this last week.. I forgot the docket, though"
"DOESN'T MATTER, HERE'S MONEY BACK WANNA BUY AN XBOX? MGS: TTS IS COMING TO N-GAGE IN A FEW DAYS"
"Awesome. Now I have 423,000 copies of Zelda in my room!"
"I LIKE MONEY"

I wonder if they'll accept barcodes/thingies from games purchased from DVDCrave? Seeing as they get alot of their PAL titles from the UK, and Nintendo have a strict 'OZZTRALIER ONLY' thing. *Shrugs shoulders*

Yes.
Yes I will be >=O

And you'd better be happy that we're destroying our beautiful game boxes, NAL!!
I don't know if I'm going to buy 1080 or Mario Golf.
I'm leaning toward 1080 though, cause snowboarding is cool, and none of my friends have snowboarding games on their PS2s - yes, they forgo SSX, cause it's not Gran Turismo or GTA3.

Eh, I'll get both 1080 and Mario Golf later on. To be honest, I'm actually looking foward to Pokemon Channel more, and that's a tad scary. Plus it's the cheapest game in the list. $49.95 for omgkiddy FUN. =o

I just printed out 30 copies of the Zelda form before unplugging the printer. I think I b0rked the printer at TAFE by clicking 'print'.
So yes, now I shall have fun leaving the other 29 sheets around the place for lolz.

Oh crap.........i just mentioned that "DVDCrave get a lot games from Europe" in the talkback thread, before knowing Infernal started a thread here.  I'm gonna be real pissed off if my copy of MGS: TTS is from Europe.  Just go read my lastest there to see my lastest bitchin'.

Having the cutout the barcode out is a pain, but I guess there isn't another way of proving that you actually bought the games.

Crap. I don't want to cut up my precious games.

The only way i can see around this is if you send in the whole cover and ask them to send it back, un-damaged. Oh well, it's not that big of a deal anyway, unless you play barcode wars with your games, then i'd be really angry, you can't play barcode wars without barcodes!

And uh, you could always photocopy the barcode before you send it in, and after you've cut out the proper one you can replace it with the photocopied one... with GLUE or STICKY TAPE. =O

I'll probably end up getting FF:CC, MGS:TTS, Mario Golf, 1080, Pokemon Channel and Kirby Air Ride eventually, so 3 bonus disks for me!

Or you could photocopy the whole thing somewhere that has really top high end copiers on good paper and replace the whole thing!

That way the whole thing is the same quality, and there are no funny marks with the cut-out barcode.
Pietriots, we roll out to get the lol out.

I never even thought about DVDCrave getting MGS from Europe
I must email them NOW!
Tell them to give me an AUSTRALIAN copy of the game!!!

Oh, and if you actually DO cut out the barcode for MGS, you can always print out the boxart that the guy did here on PGC, and stick that into the box
At least it's a nice alternative to the crappy US version and a cut up Aussie version =/

Well hey, i wouldn't mind cutting up the MGS:TTS boxart if we end up getting the same one the US got. I want the red box ;__;.

Ooooh, something. On the back of some of my third party games the barcode is actually a sticker! Perhaps MGS:TTS will have a sticker on the back of it, that is if Atari just slaps stickers on European copies of the game and sells them here.. maybe we won't have to cut up the box after all.

Either way, i'm not too fussed about this anymore, i'm just happy to be getting the bonus disk.

...WAIT WHAT. MGS:TTS has disappeared from the webpage... uh oh spagetio's...

LOOKS LIKE WE WONT HAVE TO CUT UP OUR MGS:TTS BOXES UP AFTERALL

O___O

Why the hell did they take MGS off the list?! RAGE. I'll just blame Atari for this, it's the easy thing to do. Ugh, looks like I'll get the bonus disc at a much later stage, then.

And I'm pretty sure we won't be getting the US boxart. It wouldn't make sense. Konami and Atari both hate us, why would they do some sort of special Aussie PAL release featuring the US art? NO, we'll be getting European copies, that's an Infernal promise. *THUMBS UP MISTER ANTENNA*

EDITU: Curses, can't access the 'new' Zelda pdf form thing. IE can't even find Nintendo.com.au and FireBird hangs when I click the form link. *Thumbs not up or down*

Yes, it seems the war between Atari and Nintendo has reached new heights.

NAL: MAKE MGS:TTS CHEAPER, $110 IS TOO MUCH
ATARI: NO MGS IN DEAL FOR YOU
NAL: FINE, WE DONT WANT YOUR GAMES ANYWAY
ATARI: NO GAMES FOR YOU EVER AGAIN THEN
NAL: WELL GOOD

Nintendo Australia sure knows how to do business.

The point of this post? *shrugs shoulders*

Oh, yeah. If we do get European copies, then we'll get the cool red box, which is what i'm hoping for. The US boxart is the crappy generic polygon one, the RED one that Europe is getting is the one i want. It's RED. =O. Oh well, looks like i can only get 2 bonus disks now, there's no way im getting Tak and the Power of POO POO . If only something like Sonic Heroes replaced Tak it'd be dandy.. wait... that's Atari... well... damn.

We're living in a drama country. Any other game would of been a better choice than Tak and his pooX2! Even umm.... HEY LOOK, SKI FREE. *Gets eaten by monster* I WIN.

Totally unrelated note, I think my PC's b0rked. MSN doesn't seem to be working, even after uninstalling and reinstalling. Now FireBird's crapping out, and Winamp's crashing all the time. OOPS. FORMAT TIME MAYBE YES NO. GABBO'S COMING TO TOWN.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.......

Why O why was MGS: TTS taken off the list of games???????
Well, SCREW IT for good this time.  I'm not getting the bonus disc, because other than perhaps Mario Golf, there isn't a game on that list I want.  And I will not buy one just to get the bonus disc.

Go to hell Atari & NAL.  And NAL, expect a pleasant surprise from me next week.

Damn, nothing for New Zealand. I looked on NoNZ's news page, and, well, it looks like the GameBoy Player has just been released. Neato.

Bah, I'll just get it for a hyper-inflated price on EBay doublepluscoolness to that.

It turns out these have been distrubuted in New Zealand, but through the same method that is used in the USA. Buy a Cube, and get one free! Awsome.
