Uhmm N5 in 2004 ??!
« on: November 13, 2003, 04:14:40 AM »
Where do these people get their information...  According to that bloomberg article Nintendo plans on launching a new console in japan, next year....Uhmmm  Are they just confused?  It is bloomberg so you wouldn't expect them to make a blunder like this....

Confused? I know I am as of now considering a lot of sites are posting this now.

Of course, I will wait and see if Planet GameCube has something to say about this.

That's somewhat different from launching a console in 2004..... And more realistic. GameSpot announces it as plans to reveal the next-gen console on the next E3, and launch in the next fiscal year. The current fiscal year ends March 2004..... the next ends March 2005. So it just might be true, 2005 sounds plausible.

Nintendo Announces Losses and New Console
Quote

Mixed reports have been coming in, some claiming that Nintendo representatives have told Japanese reporters that the hardware to be shown at E3 2004 will not be a successor to either the GBA or GameCube.

that is indeed interesting.  what could it be?

Actually there's rumors deriving from China that it won't be the only country getting the IQue...This rumor is actually the only thing keeping me from getting one now...

Right now you can get an IQue(with 5 full games) for 130 U.S. dollars on import sites...Take away the import prices and you could get an IQue with 5 full games for probably 100 dollars...And that's not a bad price at all...

I would love an iQue probobly over my Cube. It's a huge library of SNES and 64 games for so cheap. Most of all, they will relese Chrono Trigger for it!

Preowned 64 - $35
Star Fox 64 - $12
Dr. Mario - $18
Wave Race 64 - $10
Ocarina of Time - $18
Super Mario 64 - $30

That's 123 dollars...for preowned stuff...The IQue is a much better deal...

They're a bit ignorant... they're not going to release a wholey new console with developers not even having a year of development time.

mario 64 costs more than ocarina of time?  that doesn't seem right.

also, bill, i'm assuming you already own a n64, so you can chop $35 off your cost.

plus, if you were to just pick up an old 64, you'd be able to get more games than what comes with the start-up pack for the ique.  have you considered how you're going to get new ones?  unless you know where to find one of those kiosks.
