1) Take out the birds with your bow...If they are too far away, waste a pear and lure the birds closer with your gull.  Once the birds are gone, it's easy sailing...

2) For the gauntlet, I can't really say anything but use your best techniques...If you are having too hard of a time, you can use the easy(and cheap ) hurricane spin attack.

i guess i would have to try what you said and lure the last bird, damn bird!! lol. about the gauntlet, i read that its thirty floors and usually when you kill a monster or whatever, you can get hearts out of it, but this one i heard that you cant. is it true? how bad is the gauntlet? tell me, i can handle it....LOL.

-You can't get any hearts, so just stock up on potions if you need to.
-A good trick to use later on with enemies with weapons: they can hit each other...Use this to your advantage.
-I'm not sure if you can get regular items such as arrows and bombs either...Make sure you are stocked up on those as well...
-The parry attack makes it a lot easier...If you can master it, it will greatly reduce the difficulty here, and will be very very important at the end of the game

Good luck!
