Yeah, except for the fact that Cloud and Sephiroth look like absolute crap...

Basically this will be FFVII: FFX-style.  FFX-style because that's all the damn game was...a movie with little bits of gameplay scattered without

What's so bad about FFX feeling like a movie?  Is trying new things a bad thing or do we(gamers) want to play the same stuff over and over, in that case RPGs and every other genre would be long dead.  And I would like to say that FFX has more gameplay than many other RPGs I've played.

How dare FFX have cutscenes! It should just be all battles! FFX was a great game and did not have too many cutscenes

Sorry, I guess I'm not artsy enough to see the genius in "The game that doesn't play". As for it having more gameplay than other RPGs... maybe Xenosaga.

It was an OK game with too many cutscenes.

Not many cutscenes?

Wtf.

I watched my friend play it for two hours and he MAYBE had 3-4 battles, I swear.  At least one of them was a boss battle....

i went over to a friends house the other day to find him playing FFX. i watched him play
for a bit and then asked him how far into the game he was. he replied by saying "i'm about 10 hours in, but i've only played about 6 minutes". he was being somewhat sarcastic obviously, but it gave me a good idea of just how much story there actually is in the game.

Welp, I'll get it. I quite liked the cast of FFVII, and I wanna see what silly excuse they come up with on why Sephiroth is alive. =/

Maybe it's his ghost?  I wouldn't be surprised at all if Square pulled a stunt like that...I wish they just made a movie version of FFVII.  None of this sequel crap.  Die Square

Pretty easy actually.  What if the final battle against Sephiroth was actually just one of his clones?  Endless possibilities. . . endless possibilities indeed.  Oh yeah, I need to see what Tifa, one of my favourite video game girl, looks like and hope hopefully I won't see that other girl.

Naaah. After FF7 ended, Cloud found out, he was just in a computer generated world. The real world is taken over by machines, controlled by the SEPIROTH A.I. so he returns to the VR world and fights Agent Sepiroth and all his clones...
Sorry, couldn't resist.

Seperoph secretly replaced Clouds sword with a plastic one when he was doing his final attack, but a pebble hit him on the head right before Cloud hit him, so he was unconcious but he survived!

Congrats, boys. The PGC forums have once again got the news of this announcement quicker than most major gaming websites! (Except for matchbox, of course.)

Also, they showed a glimpse of the distant future in FF7s ending, with Red 8 looking at Midgar. I'm guessing he will be back!

The one thing that will seal the deal for me is if they have a remix of "One-winged Angel."  Best Final Fantasy track ever...period

Bill, you should really look up "The Dream Oath" sometime.    I would share it for you, but unfortunately, the file is over 20MB, and I simply don't have that much space.

I should probably mention that One Winged Angel did get a remix in Kingdom Hearts though.  I personally prefer the original track though.

Hehe... I saw a bittorrent file for the FF7: Advent Children trailer last night.  I am not really all that excited about the movie, but I figured I would give it a download anyways, just to see what manner of porn it was.

When what to my wondering eyes should appear but a bootleg version of the trailer shown at TGS.    I find it frickin amazing that I beat out the Square fanboys on this without even trying.
