I am still waiting for Soul Caliber II for the GC.  I have a Best Buy gift certificate, so that is where I need to get it.  The local GameStop has it, but I've been calling Best Buy in Waco, TX since it was released and they still don't have it.

Is this problem common at all the Best Buys or is the one in Waco just mismanaged?

* First there was Pong.
* Then Intellivision.
* Next came my Commodore 64.
* I loved Super Mario on my old NES.
* I really liked my PS1 too.
* Ahh, but my GameCube and DS Lite rock.

i think most best buy's get their games later than the game stores themselves get them
i think in their latest add they had the game coming out thursday or friday- so you should be able to get it today

Unlike gamestop and eb, bestbuy and circuitcity dont get their games shipped directly to them from nintendo, sony, ms.  They ship them to warehouses then the games get delivered with tv's, stereos, dvds, ect. to the stores usually by semi.  Saves money for them.

I was at the local game store yesterday and they didn't have SCII either. They said it was because Nintendo gives priority to big stores like Best Buy and GameStop and makes the littler guys wait an extra day to get games. I was kinda pissed. I mean, if Nintendo pisses off the little guys, then they're not gonna recomment 'em when those newbie gamers come in. Maybe the guy just hadn't got his shipment in and was complaining though.

I think Best Buy and Circuit City aren't expecting their SC games until Friday.  Maybe they'll get them in today so I would call first.

If it isn't a video game game store don't expect them to have anything around release time. Because they outsource the video games. So they usally end up getting them about a week late. (Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy etc.) It's because they don't depend on that segment as much to get money.
Stupidity is lost on my. Then again I'm almost always lost.

The Best Buy I work at got them in on Wednesday afternoon. It kind of sucked cause I got there a half hour after they got them in the truck, but the computer went down and the inventory guys couldn't check them in, so I had to wait over 2 hours till the situation was fixed before I came back to buy it. We usually get games in earlier than the release dates, but every once in awhile we won't get them for up to 4-7 days later than the expected date.
