lithium batteries

You know how the cart format has lithium batteries (i think thats what they're called)to save data, and they will eventually die out, well do CGN Mem cards work the same way? Also, if the battery does die out, on a N64 game, would you still be able to play the game just not save, or will it just kill the game.

Memory cards do not use lithium batteries at all, they use flash memory and save to ram.
memory cards will never die, like batteries in cartridges lol.

cartridges that have batteries, and have the battery die still work fine.
so you can still play games with dead batteries but not save.

no worries man on either front!

Don't they function like mouses or keyboards? They are supplied power from the main machine (PC or console) to the device. So all the device needs to do is its job without worry of power.
