As the update train starts to slow, we get a new slosher.

The first weapon of the new year for Splatoon will be dropping tonight.

At 9 p.m. Eastern / 6 p.m. Pacific, the Sloshing Machine Neo will be released at Sheldon's. The variant on the Sloshing Machine swaps in a Point Sensor sub-weapon and the Inkzooka as a special.

The first Splatfest of 2016 took place last weekend in the PAL regions, and Team Callie continued their winning ways following a 17-9 performance in 2015. Team Fit defeated Team Money 362-338 in the competition on 1-2 January, overcoming a 44-56 defecit in popularity by winning the battles 53-47.

As much as I love Splatoon (and am still playing it), I'm growing tired of all the updates now.  They were brilliant for a while, but the excitement has definitely worn off.  They mostly remind me of how I just want Nintendo to be working on a second iteration of the game.

My brother is pretty excellent with them. I'm pretty terrible at the game all around.

Who says Nintendo isn't?
