Several 3rd party games were spotlighted at the end of the Nintendo Direct presentation.

  • Kerbal Space Program and Hive Jump were both shown on Direct for the first time, and both are slated for Q1 2016 release. Hive Jump is a platform/shooter hybrid that supports Amiibo, while Kerbal Space Program is a hyper-realistic spaceship design program.
  • The 3DS version of Mighty No 9 was confirmed for release in the 2nd quarter of 2016
  • The previously announced Nintendo crossovers (Chrom, Lucina and Fiora) in Project X Zone 2were shown in English for the first time, along with re-confirmation of the February 16 release date
  • First footage was shown of Terraria for Wii U and 3DS, which will also release in February
  • New characters were shown for the Lego Marvel's Avengers games, including Igor and Peggy Carter.

Nice to see Hive Jump get some play. Looked like an interesting game during the KickStarter campaign, hopefully it lives up to the hype.

Might be the RFN effect, but I'm kind of excited about Kerbal coming to Wii U. Just seems like a game you could dump endless hours into, depending on how involved you want to get.
