Topic: Phazon mines - need help

Have made it to Quarantine B several times and am wasted by the unseen plasma troopers. (well, I can see them as these round globs with my x-ray visor).  Anyway, I am blasting away with my plasma beam and it has no effect, same with the flame thrower. Tried the ice beam too, what am I doing wrong?

Plasma troopers are only vulnerable to the plasma gun. Hit them with are charged plasma shot a couople of times. They should be visible tho. If you are being attacked by invisible troopers they are the shadow troopers. Use the thermal visor to see them and use the plasma gun to light them up (single shots).

Also there is a Metroid Prime help threat that you should use instead of making a new post for each new question.
