The release date for the first Shovel Knight expansion will be announced soon, as the pack has finished development.

Yacht Club Games announced on Twitter this morning that development of Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows wrapped the night before:

The expansion will be distributed for free to all existing Shovel Knight owners. Once the content clears Nintendo lotcheck, the update will go live. Yacht Club has promised that the expansion will also be included in the physical copies of the game set to ship on October 13.

I'm guessing that, outside of NWR, this game is still considered overrated, seeing how this is still the only site that cares about this game enough to post a news article like this.

I love this game, so I can't wait to play this expansion! I'd actually forgotten that it was still coming, it's been so long since I heard anything about it.
