GCN Modem ISP

What is everyone's ISP if they are using a broadband modem? I have ameritech.....and i called them and they said that they dont support Nintendo or PSO....so i went and spent over 100 dollars trying to get PSO to work and its ameritech's fault....so what is another broadband service that works with pso for online play?

I thought it didn't matter.......I thought you just connect your Nintendo's broadband modem to your cable/dsl modem or your broadband router....

Yet again, I don't have one and won't get one till mariokart so I don't know what I'm talking about.

You just plug it in...you don't need to sign up for anything at your ISP. If you have broadband, plug the GCN modem into your broadband modem (from your ISP). If you have dialup, plug it into the wall.

Using the Gamecube modem and PSO is like using a modem on a PC and a PC game of your choice.  Just as you don't need to do anything with Ameritech to play a PC game online, you have no need for PSO, either.  All you need is to configure your PSO dialup settings just like your computer, with the same number to dial, same username, and same password and the game does the rest.

it should work with any broadband. I believe that Ameritech uses PPPoE where you have a user name and password. I don't know if PSO let's you setup a PPPoE connection. What you could do is buy a router. The router will connect to the internet by using the user name and password and you just have to connect the router and gamecube.

Well unfortunately...you obviously know too little for me to explain something to you in as few words as possible (I'm lazy), so...

I have Comcast 2.8 Mb per second connection....We have a D-Link Wireless Router with the main computer in the study, my computer, the labtop, and my brothers computers all hooked up to it, wirelessly of course..We have two more computers in the study but they are really old and crappy and frankly don't even run Internet Explorer smoothly...and the router supports four computers anyway...

All games and everything runs absolutely perfectly...The only problem I've ever had was when Command and Conquer Generals detected my LAN IP and not my computer IP, therefore making direct connection games with my friend impossible..but easily fixable by screwing around with the configuration file...conveniently placed in a quite obvious location (my documents)...
