S-Video Problem
« on: June 26, 2003, 12:08:51 AM »
Hi I just purchased an S-Video cable to hookup my gamecube to my tv.  Problem is there is no video signal appearing on the television.  Sound is coming through fine (via stereo jacks on the same cable) but no picture.  I have enabled the option on my tv for s-video so I don't think thats the problem. I am now throughly confused!  Is there an option in the gamecube interface to output a signal via s-video? Any advice or help would be much appreciated.

I use S-Video on mine and tere is nothing on the GC to set. The TV must be set to the S-Video input. The first two things I would check is 1) make sure the S-Video cable is plugged all the way in, 2) try using the yellow video cable instead to see if it works, since the cable itself may be bad, 3) make sure everything is on the right channel etc.

Also if you are using one of those multi-s-video selectors to hook up multiple systems try hooking up the GC directly to the TV just to make sure everything is working.

And don't hook the S-Video and the yellow RCA cable at the same time.
