So my Nexus 7 just asked to sync to my Wii U?
« on: May 13, 2014, 01:23:44 AM »
How did I not know this was possible?  So far I believe it only works with YouTube, meaning I can be watching a video on my tablet in me bedroom (upstairs front of the house, GamePad can't reach) and send it to the main Tv downstairs. The lag is not noticeable if any at all. My thinking is this should be the jump off for a bonafide

 "Nintendo App"

Why can't I stream any and all content from my tablet/smartphone to my Wii U? The Gamepad, while awesome is merely a bridge to the internet or internal Wii U HD and can't store data. Furthermore, since the Wii U doesn't seem to be getting HBO GO or WWE Network anytime soon, i was hoping this could be a solid work around much like how people sideload content on Ouya.

Any other useful idea's or is this just a novelty of a app that already is already dead?

I don't know if its new or not. This is one of the few things I can't find any info about around the net. My wife's iPad doesn't allow it so I never had a reason to ask before now.
