Anyone watch WWE Royal Rumble?
« on: January 26, 2014, 10:47:31 PM »
Yeah, I just watched it...I really haven't watched any wrestling in a couple years but if I find a good stream of the big PPVs I'll usually watch. Anyway      Batista won      . Pretty amazing the amount of boos that he got, considering I think he's a "good guy." I just thought that was really awkward, and WWE must be regretting bringing Batista back since the crowd seems to hate him, and they wanted      Roman Reigns    to win. Glad I don't watch this crap anymore.

I watched it with my wife and kids. The booing, so much booing at the end. I thought it was pretty avg as the 4 ppv goes. One thing is clear. People love Daniel Bryant.

Yeah I read the results and just started watching a few minutes into the actual rumble match. Seems like it started off really good with the first few matches - New Age Outlaws as tag team champs is pretty awesome. The whole main event went downhill as soon as they announced Rey Mysterio instead of Daniel Bryan. I feel bad for all the people that bought tickets to WrestleMania a long time ago because of the terrible main event now that there's only one title.

The last time I saw a company piss away that much goodwill in an hour was when Microsoft announced the Xbone's original DRM.

It's amazing, they were riding on such a high from the Network and getting Bryan in a position to be cheered and then flushed it all away. Probably not going back to Pittsburgh for a while, either.

They already have everyone's money for the tickets to WM30 (pretty sad that this is the main even for WM30), and it'll be shown on WWE Network too, so there's no reason to have a good match that people would pay $50 (or whatever it costs) to watch it on PPV, so I guess they decided to not even try.

After watching the replay, Ok I get it. The "Litte Rock" is a beast and He deserves the push.

Side note: The camera work was really bad.

Pretty sure Kevin Nash's elimination was botched, looked like he was gonna hold on to the top rope but slipped.
