Video game soundtracks
« on: January 13, 2014, 03:42:53 PM »
I love video game music, and I have a bunch of Sonic soundtracks I purchased from iTunes (Sonic Colors has an amazing soundtrack) . Why doesn't Nintendo sell their soundtracks on iTunes? And I'd love to see Capcom do the same with their Mega Man soundtracks.

Nintendo drops the ball when it comes to this stuff. The Eshop should have soundtracks at the ready for the 3DS, it's like free money. Maybe they could come up with a dedicated music app. These things sell themselves.

Also, why isn't Symphony of the Goddess on Blu-Ray? Come on man!

Well, for what it's worth, I believe you can get the Pokemon X/Y OST's on iTunes. I know it's a game developed by GameFreak, but at least Nintendo published...and I actually was pretty impressed with the music in the latest installment. Although, I still and probably always will be partial to the 8-bit GameBoy tunes of yesteryear (Red/Blue/Yellow)  :D

I don't like how a lot of Nintendo's soundtracks are available for Club Nintendo Japan users only to purchase.  :@

I think I'm going to use Amazon MP3 from now on instead of iTunes, because Amazon has all the game soundtracks I want. And I can play all my music from the cloud (Amazon Cloud Player app) without having to transfer anything from the PC to my Android phone. Google Play Music doesn't have many game soundtracks, unfortunately.
