More details have surfaced about Guild 02, the recently announced sequel to Guild 01 from Level-5.

Similar to Guild 01, Guild 02 is a collaborative effort of four Japanese game developers: Keiji Inafune (formerly of Capcom), Kazu Ayabe (Mini’s Kitchen) and Takemaru Abiko and Kazuya Asano from Chunsoft.

Inafune’s game, called Insect Tank, is an action game set during World War II in which players take control of a small tank and destroy insects. Kazu Ayabe is creating a game called Monsters Appear on Friday, where the story mirrors the title—monsters arrive on Fridays and giant heroes are the only ones that can take them out.

Takemura Abiko and Kazuya Asano are working on a game called Alone, a suspense game which begins with the player waking up and realizing they have lost their memory.

Guild 01 releases on May 31 in Japan for 3,980 yen ($50) and includes a code players can use to unlock content in Guild 02. Currently, there is no solid release date for Guild 02.

I'm normally very optimistic about games getting localized as it seems most notable ones do sooner or later.

However, I don't know, something about these Guild titles just feels ... "Japan only."

Thoughts?

The first one alone definitely seems a bit too weird to release outside of Japan. Then again, Seaman did see a release outside of Japan and that game is insane.

I, honestly, wouldn't get my hopes up too high for either of these to come out.
