cube brightness on plasma tv
« on: May 15, 2003, 04:15:10 AM »
hi all, hope someone can help me here as im gutted about this.

Just bought a sony 42 inch plasma tv, hooked up everything (dvd, video, tv, etc...) and it is all fine, set up my cube and its like the brightness or contrast is turned up full blast, i tried the cube on my old tv and its fine, i tried my xbox, PSX, snes and they are all fine, the only console i get this prob with is the cube, im using the standard UK composite AV lead but have ordered a multi console S-video cable from the net, dont have it yet though.  does anyone think this lead will make a difference (nintendo thinks maybe so), has anyone heard of this problem before.

thanks in advance for any replies.

ive noticed all nintendo systems get a bit darker when on the screen, unlike others like ps2 and xbox.  from the days of the super nintendo, my friends and i needed to adjust the brightness on our tv's.... Its something with the cable. The ones we always used was an RF cable, and that always made it darker...oh and how did u connect it? thru RF, RCA, or Composite?  OR S-video?
