3DS Update Coming in November

The 3DS will soon be able to record 3D video.

A system firmware update for the 3DS will be coming in November, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata announced at the 3DS Press Conference.

The update will allow players to record 3D video on Nintendo's portable gaming machine. The update will also add additional unspecified improvements to the built-in StreetPass Plaza software and the Nintendo eShop store.

I was wondering when they were going to do this. That's probably the biggest announcement they made.

Wow, I can't wait for this update!  Also, with the addition of 3D video recording, perhaps my dream of Skype on 3DS isn't so far-fetched after all?
