The vast majority of DS games are under 128 MB. Somewhat big compared to the 2 GB SD card that ships with the system, but doable if they so desired.

A big enough high capacity SD card would render that issue mute.

That be around 15 DS games.  I'm not sure what the average collection size is but a lot of people probably fit below that.

Storage is only half the issue. Huge files take time to download, so that's another thing.

I don't see 128MB really that big.  I think I be pressed to find anything that small on Steam.

As Kytim pointed out, the SD card is easily upgradeable. The kind of people who would want to buy that many DS games would probably be fine with buying a bigger SD card, if they don't already have one. I personally already have an 8 GB card in mine.

Buying those SD cards will also be much cheaper than the equivalent for PSVita

a 32GB class 10 SD card only cost $50
You could hold alot of games on that. As a matter of fact, you probably wouldn't need another card for anything 3DS related for the life of the system, unless you were trying to save everything released all at once like some sort of crazed collector.

So UncleBob's screwed, but everyone else would be fine with 32 GB.

Well then you should have looked in the thread you mentioned it in, because I posted one about a week ago.
