DSiWare Four Swords Confirmed to be GBA Version
« on: June 15, 2011, 12:32:36 PM »

The free download will be part of Nintendo's celebration of The Legend of Zelda's 25 anniversary.

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/26834

The upcoming free DSiWare version of The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords is the Game Boy Advance multiplayer game that was included with the release of A Link to the Past on the GBA. We confirmed this with a Nintendo rep during E3.

The DSiWare title will be available for free to gamers in celebration of The Legend of Zelda's 25 year anniversary and will be released in September.

Oh, goody! I never really got to play this due to the specific requirements. I just love second chances.

I skipped this one the first time around (and am now glad I did). I'm happy that I'll get to play this on my DSi!

The only time I actually got to play Four Swords was at E3 2003.

It's a great game. :D
Just some random guy on the internet who has a different opinion of games than you.

Has there been any word on online play? That'd be the only way I'd get use out of this title, sadly.

Yeah...or is it only going to be local co-op? I don't have three friends with 3DS's. I don't have ONE friend with a 3DS!
This would be my PSN Trophy Card, but I guess I can't post HTML in my Signature. I'm the pixel spaceship, and I have nine Gold trophies.

It is DSiWWare, so since I have a DSi and a 3DS, and it's free, I could download it to both of them and then I could play it with at least one other friend.

If it ends up being local play only, it looks like I'll be playing by myself with my 3DS and DSi.  :'(
