Square Enix has set the first release date for Kingdom Hearts Re: Coded. The latest Kingdom Hearts title will be released in Japan on October 7. The title will be priced at ¥5,490 (approx. $60.00).

In addition to the release date, a new trailer was also released. The trailer features story cutscenes, detailing King Mickey’s investigation of Jiminy Cricket’s journal, as well as several gameplay sequences. Some of these scenes include a side-scrolling stage, a maze sequence, and a turn-based RPG battle with Final Fantasy VII’s Cloud Strife.

Companies wonder why sales of games in Japan are dropping, $60 for a DS game is pretty much standard for RPGs (other DS games are usually around $50). I liked the first Kingdom Hearts, but that was the only one i've played and I only got to play a couple of hours of it. This one looks pretty good.

BTW, it's Square Enix (no "-" in the name).

Glad they made an enhanced port for KH Coded because I don't bother gaming on my crappy cell phone.  Looking forward to completing the HK series, I've beaten all the rest minus Birth by Sleep which isn't going be released until later this year.
