I play video games in my darkened apartment. I had to google this "outdoors" you were talking about. I think I've been there once or twice.

Me too. I play 3DS on the bus and now that it is sunny in the mornings and afternoons, it can be impossible to see if you don't manage to get one of the "right" seats that blocks some of the sunlight. The good news is that, because it's northern Canada, summer will soon be over and it'll go back to being dark again in about a month.  :

My first reaction was rage.
My second was "eh, whatever".

SRSLY though... chill out. You don't need to buy it if you don't want it.

everyone who says they won't but it most likely will buy two, day one for the hell of it and a second when their favorite color gets released, that is after all what keeps Nintendo in business these days.

I say I won't buy it and I mean that. Yes, I am intrigued by it but there are two things that keep me from purchasing it, its lower battery runtime compared to that of the 3DS (which even can be extended) and the 3DSXL and the fact that there are no plans to release it in Japan (at least for the time being), which might have gotten me to buy a third device for even more imported games.

I dare not speak for others though...

This one just doesn't fit my gaming habits, so I really can't see me buying one. I see the appeal for certain types of people, and I'm not trying to argue that it's a bad thing, it's just not for me.
