Afrika Coming to the USA thanks to National Geographic
« on: December 03, 2008, 09:19:19 PM »
I have to say I am so thrilled to see this game coming to America. Ever since I seen it first previewed for the PS3 I was dieing to have it. For awhile it looked like there was little chance we would get an English version but now it has been made possible by National Geographic.

It's a hell of a lot better name than "Hakuna Matata"...Now I might get it...

That is exciting.  Here's to hoping they won't want 60 bucks for it. :)

Doesn't the NG also release a bunch of other, similar (and probably shovelware) games? I could see that hurting the game.

I think they just recently opened up their game publishing branch, so I'm not sure there is any stigma attached yet. If anything this game could help their image since it will be one of their first.

This game makes me kind of wish I had a PS3.  My wife grew up in both Kenya and S. Africa; I believe she'd love the game.

Great news, looking forward to getting this. It should serve as a nice complement to Endless Ocean.

Cai is going to be reviewing the NG panda game for DS.  Can't wait to see what he thinks of it!

I'm probably going to get this if it comes here (or I can get a cheap US cop). Although apparently the JP version didn't allow inversion of camera controls. Major turn off.

Dude, I am STOKED. I have wanded this game since I saw it in...some gaming magazine a long time ago. I would base my dream game on its teachings. In fact, stay tuned for a site special about my dream game.
This would be my PSN Trophy Card, but I guess I can't post HTML in my Signature. I'm the pixel spaceship, and I have nine Gold trophies.
