As Ian's pointed out before, maybe I'm just getting old. We're part of the last generation that remembers a time before the Internet dominated everything. I was sixteen when I got on AOL.
I can't even think of how I could make my day sound interesting. Does everyone who is constantly updating their MySpace or Facebook or Twitter or whatever always doing something cool?
Here's my status right now: at work goofing off on NWR forums.
Later it will switch to:
- driving home
- going to the mailbox
- what to make for dinner? split between whether to have soup or Kraft Dinner
- stupid cat keeps attacking my feet
- watching the hockey game, Sean Avery's a dickhead
- thinking about getting a Coke out of the fridge
- going to the bathroom
- still thinking about a Coke, almost got one on the way back from bathroom but forgot until I was already downstairs
- Penguins score!!
- F*ck it I'm getting a Coke
- Constantly need to pee, shouldn't have had that Coke
Wowzers, isn't that exciting!! And on days when I do do something exciting the hell I'm ever going to think to constantly update my status. I would only think to do that when I'm bored.
