WiiWare: Midnight Pool
« on: August 22, 2008, 02:14:32 PM »
I've been thinking of picking this up, but wanted to hear a few other opinions before doing so. Overall, the presentation looks decent enough, but I'm worried about the motion control and especially the physics. I enjoyed Gameloft's last WiiWare offering--Block Breaker Deluxe--and think that pool would obviously work better with the "nightlife" theme. I just don't want it to end up being pathetically lame, as Wii Play's nine ball is decent enough.

I bought it and have enjoyed it so far. The controls don't feel as good as the ones in Wii Play but they work just as well (that may not sound like it makes sense, the emphasis is on the word "feel"). I'm happy with my purchase.

I've read good things about it, so I guess I'll be getting it, especially since I love good pool games!

i like it, controls are fine for me. i just wish it had online play. i alreayd have "pool paradise" for my GC (got it dirt cheap, awesome!) and as much as i love pool, you can only play solo for so long. At least that game had some different modes of play.

As it stands Midnight pool is fun, but i'll probably only play it when my gf is around and we want something simple we can both play. Online play would make me come back to it time and time again, but right now it'll only get played when i have billiard withdrawal.

by the way first wiiware purchase, kinda did it on a whim. i should really pick up lostwinds though huh?
