How long does it take to be able to post in the nintendo forums?

I can't post in the Nintendo Thread after being here for 8 whole minutes...what gives?

You should be able to reply in any thread that hasn't been locked.

You can't create new threads in the Announcements, TalkBack, Staff Blog, or Trivia Results sections.

Although this is a correct answer.  You cannot do these things.  Welcome, if you have problems creating threads in any other folder please let me know and I'll look into it.
