Well, I just found out my old county's school superintendent pulled a knife at one of the elementary schools. Apparently, the faculty or staff, or whatever the teachers call themselves now were upset about a principal, and somewhere during a meeting, this prompted him to pull a knife out a cut a picture of himself to shreds. Any ideas why? I don't know, but
this is a link to the story. Of course, this means you know the county I grew up in, but I doubt that matters much, I think most of you know I don't even live there anymore.
Anyways, I've met with this man for a meeting before, and let me say that I'm actually not a bit surprised about this at all. As best as I can say, the man is either insane or crooked. Either reason could be why he would need to tear up a photo with a knife, though. Basically, he sits in his office and chews on a cigar. And yes, this is a building on school grounds. At one point, when meeting with him about something dealing with illegal treatment of some classes, illegal according to Florida law, he picked up an orange or a tangerine, or one of those orange-colored citrus fruits (he had a box of them), and pulled his knife out of his pocket (remember, this is in a meeting with a member of the student body on school grounds) to tear into the fruit. Partway through, he even offered me one. He was late to the meeting at his office that I had set up the week before, and he lied to my face about a few things that were supposed to happen.
Anyways, he's messed up. Now that this tidbit is out on the news, does anyone have any suggestions on how to prompt an investigation or something, so that the whole school system cleans up their act? The Superintendent isn't the only person doing things like this, either, and the students there don't deserve to go through the same crap I did.
