I just read "I'm dating myself" and thought, Wow that's a good idea, save me looking for a girlfriend!

Anyway, my first 'computer was a C64, but my first PC was a 386.  I remember we could bring up this rotating picture of a clown, we thought it was amazing!  It almost looked real!

Wow, Scorched Earth, Zork... text adventure games. I don't think I ever actually beat one of those, but I played quite a few of them. First computer was a 486SX 25mHz, 8MB RAM, running DOS 6.0 (I think). I miss DOS sometimes...

Hey, whatever happened to Commander Keen?

EDIT: The most amazing thing I ever did with that computer was upgrade my 2400 baud modem to a 14.4, and play Doom over the TELEPHONE LINES with fellow-forumer DrewMG. Those are some of my fondest gaming moments right there. To this day, all he has to do is mention the level 4 debacle, and it just all comes back.

I remember GeoWorks, I do.

Boy, games were so simple back in the day when DOOM was so revolutionary.  I was like, "whoa, a gory game?  That involves Hell?  And it's in 3D?"  My teenage mind couldn't comprehend.  And then I was in awe that my 386 could handle it!  0_0

In junior high I doodled in my notes about Wolfenstein 3-D so much that I'm surprised my teachers didn't think I was taking in some neo-Nazi propanda (even though I'm not white, obviously).

My first computer was a Commadore C64 we replaced it with the 128 later on. It had a tape deck drive also and a old giant floppy drives but they didnt hold much data.  

We were poor we got it when Windows had already been out for a while.

we had a program called Geos somthing or other, it was kinda sorta like windows in a way but it didnt use a mouse it used a pad instead. Is that the same thing ya'all is talking about? We never had internet till we got our first real pc which was running windows 98 SE and was a total mind blow sicne we had little experience outside of school on real computers only having that old commadore forever.
