Mario Bros Wii?

Ok I downloaded super mario brothers, and im loving it.  However I can't get 2 player to work.  When it goes to luigi, the wii does not detect any controller input.  I tried keeping one controller and passing it, or even putting in a GCN controller.  Anyone having help or am I just too hungover from yesterday to understand this?

Update:  Sorry Im not sure how to delete posts but I solved the problem by plugging in the GCN controller to the 2nd port on the wii.  Hope this helps anyone

Yeah, it took me forever to figure that out. I thought that since Bomberman (TurboGrafx) supported eight players the Virtual Console games must seperately identify each GameCube and Wii controller, but I guess that is only for 5+ player games.

I'm sure others had this problem, so it is a good thing you couldn't delete that post.
