Topic: Shop Channel not working!

Hey, I got some Wii Points for Christmas, but I cant get on the shop to download any of the cool new games they put up on there.  Its really weird because Ive been able to get on the Shop before, and nothing has changed since then.

Whats also weird is that I can still get on the internet channel (but it takes a couple of tries, and tends to freeze on youtube videos), and the forecast channel is still working fine.  However, whenever I try the shop channel it gets to the screen where it says "Connecting, please wait..." then it stays on that screen forever.  I really wanna get some Mario Bros in while Im on christmas break, but it just wont work.  Anybody else have a similar problem?

I had problems around 4:00 pm EST when I tried to go into the message center part so I could add someone to my wii list and I had to force my system off, after turning it off and then back on it was working again.  I know the shop worked a little after that because I downloaded Castlevania 4.

I just got home from a week long X-mas vacation.  Now I want to download Opera, SMB, Toe Jam & Earl and Castlevania IV; unfortunately, I'm having the same problem as Zach is having.

My guess is Nintendo's servers are overloaded by too many people trying to download too much stuff.  Wait until 4:00 AM and then try again.

Update: I got it to work finally (for a little while at least).  Downloaded Mario Bros, Castlevania and Donkey Kong Jr.  Probably gonna try to get back on and get Street Fighter II
