The Denver Post has a glowing article on WiiSports..

What? No "Gears of War," with its perfect blend of visual detail and brutal narrative? No "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion," featuring an expansive fantasy landscape packed with trials and treasure? Not something for the PlayStation 3? What about other Wii games? The new "Zelda" game lives up to the grand reputation of the series. And "Rayman Raving Rabbids" is as fun as it is odd.

While each of these games remains a worthy distraction from the pressures of the real world, none of them really changes the art or science of video games the way that "Wii Bowling" does.

Wii all love Wii Sports.

Wii Sports 2 will sell like HOTCAKES! The bundling idea was the smartest move Nintendo have made this generation!

Just to further add to the topic in the title of this thread.

Wii Sports does indeed pWN the phone out of the dome in rome. I like bowling and baseball the best. Although I've been having a hell of a time staying above pro-level in bowling.

Yeah, Wii sports does indeed pwn major ass...

The game was able to hook my mother (who has never played a game since the NES), both my nephew and niece, my sister and my brother in law. And I am personally in love with it too. My favorites are definitely bowling and baseball (even though I can't do a homerun for the life of me...). Golf would have to be my least favorite because the controls aren't all that great.

My main fear is that the game's appeal could end up not lasting as long as people expect it to. See, the game is a blast when it you show it to a lot of people, especially people oblivious to the concept of the game. But it starts to lose its appeal once you keep playing with the same people. I think at one point they will want to see something else, something new. Wii sports gives them a huge taste, and they will definitely want more and I doubt they would return to the same game over and over.

But outside that, Wii sports is easily the biggest surprise of the game because a lot of people were disappointed that the game was making the Wii more expensive and now they can't get enough of it.

After putting considerable time into this game, I can't gush enough about it. I gave the controller to my dad, and he groaned and asked me, "Oh God, what buttons do I need to press?" He was amazed when I said you wouldn't need any, and he thoroughly enjoyed playing.

Twirling the bat over your head before you swing in Baseball is just priceless.

PS: I take it you got a Wii, pap? Congrats!

Old...flimsy-looking...another part to hit people or furniture or TVs with...unnecessary.

Though the part on the right that is probably a grip might be helpful if well-made, considering how many butterfingers there are on people.

Sadly, that's not the case .

SB came to visit during New year's and brought his Wii along. He was hesitant of bringing it at first (considering that he would be traveling overseas with it), but now I can't thank him ENOUGH.

Seriously, on the first night of SB's visit me, my nephew and my mom played Wii sports till 3:00 in the morning. Our New Year's Eve consisted of us playing Wii all day long, all the way into the new year. My nephew and SB stayed up till 5 AM playing Wii tennis, making sure my nephew would get pro status on Tennis and Bowling. I even got a picture of them playing together.

It brought joy to this Puertorican's heart : _ ) .

The family decided to wait till April (which is my nephew's birthday) to find a Wii. As I mentioned before, I hope that Wii are easier to find by then.

Oh man, this is too funny.. apparently it's what happens when you get a hole-in-one while playing the German version (or when the language is set to German).

KDR, get to it!
