Topic: Lookie what I got - a WarCraft clone in development for the original Game Boy...

Well, I got this great auction the other day and it arrived today in the mail...

It included three of these:


They're what I can only assume are development Game Boy Color units.

Also was one of these:


What I'm certian is an original Game Boy development cartridge.

And on this cart was:

What appears to be a game called "War Monster" - which appears to play a lot like the original WarCraft games (pre WoW, for those who remember).  Interesting, eh?

Oh wow.  I remember reading about that game on IGN a long time ago.  I guess it never came out after all.

That's actually really cool; I have no idea what you could ever do with it, but cool nonetheless.

Looks like a version of the game came out for cell phones back in 2003.

There was also a MMO version in 2004.

i know what he could do with it, not sure if it would be legal... are cancelled game roms illegal?

They list that this game came out for the Game Boy Color, but I can't seem to find anything to show that it did come out.  They to mention the Cell Phone version.

Ok, so it wasn't for the GB, but the GBC.  It was called "Warlocked."
