Lol, that is so true. Personally I gave up overhyping myself and instead let them do their own thing, that way I am not super dissapointed and can look at the positives.

I still ovehype, but I don't get dissappointed or upset.  Its stupid.  There is way more to life than this stuff...and although I am here everyday just like the rest of us, I try not to let anything here grab me emotionally.

I can wait for the September event to get information.  Personally, I am already thinking and I guess hyping up that event.  Each event Nintendo has shown us and more importantly allowed the press to play new games.  I expect the same to happen at the September event.  Nintendo will show 2 more games in playable form, along with all the other games.  And, we will get a good understanding of where games are and which games are launch games.

Overhyping is right.  Oh, it totally is.

I'm sure I've spent more time on Planet GameCube's forums this year than I will actually be playing the Wii.

(Well, I mean, that's kind of a given, seeing as how the Wii will be coming in the fourth quarter of this year, but still...)

It's like every day I'm on this board or others, and it's all just a prelude to when I finally get to play games on my own Wii.

It's not even here yet, but I already spent $700 (Canadian) of my own money mostly just to see and play the Wii at E3 (which I'm glad I managed to be able to do since E3 is no longer as it was).  All that money spent, and I haven't actually bought anything tangible related to the Wii which I expect to own.

And we still hunger for morsels of information such as launch date and price.

I thought I had a point here but I forgot where I was going.  Maybe despite all that, I don't really care when the release date is revealed.  It's like I still want a bit of mystery surrounding the Wii.  Once we know the date and price, once we have secured a Wii in our own homes with all the games we want, then we look forward to new games...but nothing as big as a whole 'nother console for another five years or so.  Or something.

Apparently CoD3 Wii is CUNFERMED to not have online multiplayer.

IT SEEMS ACTIVISION HAD THEIR "AUTOFAIL" BOX CHECKED WHEN THEY BOOTED THEIR COMPUTER THIS MORNING.  I GUESS THEY'RE NOT GETTING MY MONEY NOW.  BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME, SUCKERS.

Realistically I wasn't expecting any online games until 2007.  Nintendo and 3rd party developers are just getting their feet wet with a brand new controller and means to play games.

We are going to be in an exciting time of developers trying new experiments...some will work some won't.  I look forward to 2007 as being a huge online gaming experience for me with the new Wii.  Until then I am happy with the launch games I get.

Hm, I think I won't go to Leipzig after all. I just don't feel like it and considering that I'm not hyped for any upcoming games I don't feel I'm missing out on anything either.
