Overhyping is right. Oh, it totally is.
I'm sure I've spent more time on Planet GameCube's forums this year than I will actually be playing the Wii.
(Well, I mean, that's kind of a given, seeing as how the Wii will be coming in the fourth quarter of this year, but still...)
It's like every day I'm on this board or others, and it's all just a prelude to when I finally get to play games on my own Wii.
It's not even here yet, but I already spent $700 (Canadian) of my own money mostly just to see and play the Wii at E3 (which I'm glad I managed to be able to do since E3 is no longer as it was). All that money spent, and I haven't actually bought anything tangible related to the Wii which I expect to own.
And we still hunger for morsels of information such as launch date and price.
I thought I had a point here but I forgot where I was going. Maybe despite all that, I don't really care when the release date is revealed. It's like I still want a bit of mystery surrounding the Wii. Once we know the date and price, once we have secured a Wii in our own homes with all the games we want, then we look forward to new games...but nothing as big as a whole 'nother console for another five years or so. Or something.
