MASSIVE DAMAGE
(a couple of you have PMs)

KDR:  I gave up on the Zoom-Uppercut a long time ago since it didn't inflict the damage I needed.  It seemed to get a lot of V-points, but it didn't break anything quickly, especially in the early Hulk Davidson fight where I wanted to break his axe ASAP.

When Fire Leo is dizzy, I aim to inflict a lot of damage in a very short amount of time.  I start by jumping, and while landing I Slow+Zoom to initiate the Foot Stomp.  I maintain Slow+Zoom, and I hold punch to perform the Red Hot One Hundred (RHOH) punch combo while the pink shockwaves from the Stomp are still moving.  I can land 2-3 [very strong] RHOH punches before the shockwaves disappear; at this point I've used up most of Fire Leo's "combo time limit" (as you're aware, you can only do so much damage/hits before the game breaks your sequence).  Instead of maintaining the Slow RHOH, I immediately change it into a Mach-Speed RHOH for the remainder of the combo, because it really will do more damage.

Slow does slightly expand the game's clock, and Mach-Speed slightly compresses the clock.  The Slow RHOH does do more damage per hit than a Mach-Speed RHOH.  But with so little time left for the combo, Slow RHOH's punches take too long to execute, and because the hitting rate drops dramatically once the Stomp's shockwaves are gone, Fire Leo is given more "recovery time" between each Slow RHOH punch to wake up from the combo, so the overall combo will end before you land enough hits.  Therefore, I switch to Mach-Speed RHOH to maximize damage vs. combo duration.  When the combo's finally broken, or I end it early to avoid any mis-hits, I deactivate Zoom

Dunno, it seemed to deplete boss health pretty quickly for me. OTOH I never knew there was such a thing as a "Red Hot 100".

Wait.  Why do you want to break Hulk Davidson's axe?  It's easy to dodge, and his most dangerous attack only happens when he doesn't have it.  At least that's how I remember it.

If you break his axe, he can't swing it.

If he has no axe, he can't block, so there's more opportunities to kick his ass quickly.

I can get triple-V's on Batty, Another Joe, and Fire Leo on Adult, but not on Hulk or Sharky; those two fights have elements that really slow down my fight time.

I never wound up beating Viewtiful Joe, I started on Adults because I remembered reading something that Kids and Adults mode were going to be opposite of what you thought they would be, Kids would be Hard and Adults would be Easy (maybe I dreamed this up). I got to Leo and that was the end of VJ for me. I probably left my GC on for weeks at a time just playing the game in between classes, beating bosses and tough spots so I didn''t have to redo anything. Even though I never finished it, it was great while it lasted.
