Retro Movie for a Modern Game
« on: July 26, 2006, 06:16:46 PM »
I just thought of a cool movie that if a game was made of it, could really utilize the Wiimote: Ghostbusters

Think!

You can use the motion tracking to aim at the ghosts.
The controller could shake once you engage the proton beam
Use a sliding motion to send out the trap.
Use the wiimote and nunchuck in a wheel motion to drive ecto-1.

What do you think?

I'd rather see a movie made based on the NES GhostBusters game, then a movie game made from that movie.

GhostBusters The Game: The Movie: The Game.

Ghostbusters would make for an awesome Wii game. The controls would be great I'm sure, and if they could get Dan Akroyd, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson to do the voice acting (also Rick Moranis, Sigourney Weaver, and Annie Potts) this could be a real hit. The subtle humor, awesome NYC environment, not doubt this game would rule.

the best part of that was the line "busting makes me feel good!" and if you dont know/remember where thats from, please download the ghostbusters movie theme (the original, not the bobby brown song from the second movie) and give it a listen. cracks me up everytime.

oh and what if activision makes a ghostbusters game set in nyc? it could be a gta clone like true crimes, hell they'd probably use the same engine for it to. you get calls in from your secretary (always forgot her name) and speed down the streets of nyc in your eco1 and bust various ghost. that would be SOOOO lame!!!
