Gamecube Digital Controllers

I have been trying to find one of the hori digital controllers, but with little luck. I have come across a similar pad from Pelican Accesories. I wanted to know if anyone has used this product and can tell me of the quality

I can't speak for the one from Pelican Accessories, but the Hori Digital Controller is the most-awesome one.  In fact, I bought a second one just because I loved it so much.

A quick Google search reveals that most places are sold out of this godly product, however this seller came up and claims to have it in stock (Japanese Indigo only though) for $15.99.  I've never ordered from (or heard of) this company, so I can't really vouch for 'em.

For those wondering what the heck we're talking about here and why *you* should get one as well, here's a good link:

*edit* - Oh yeah, if you have a GameCrazy near by, check them out.  GameCrazy was the only major national chain to carry the product here in the US (if I'm correct).  I know they were on sale some time ago, so your chances might be slim.  I was going to point you to this post:

It seems that people are still having problems tracking down this product at GameCrazy. I apologize for that. If you are interested in the product please ask for the "Controller Game Boy Digital" at GameCrazy and they should be able to order it for you if the store you go to doesn't have it.

But then I noticed that post was in your own thread!  http://www.planetgamecube.com/forums/messageview.cfm?catid=3&threadid=11049&FTVAR_MSGDBTABLE=

Sorry to see you're still having problems getting this.  Are you located near a Game Crazy at all?

As a matter of fact, I have one about 2 minutes away. I tried last summer to get them to special order one for me, but two months later, they still couldn't get one.

Raptor - where do you live? The reason why I'm asking is if you live close to Philly, The Game Store (that's the actual name of the store) at Franklin Mills Mall has the Hori digital pad. I bought one there a day or two before Christmas last year.

I'm not sure if you can trust a $5.45 controller.

I actually like Pelican. I have one of their G4 Wireless controllers, and it's pretty solid (aside from an overly sensitive analog stick, which makes navigating menus a headache, but isn't a problem when actually playing a game). Overall, it's performance is quite good, though not as good as Nintendo's WaveBird. BUT it does include "rumble".

rhoq, I live in suburban illinois. If the Game Store had a website, I would be ordering one in a heartbeat.

I actually had that Pelican controller for about 10 minutes.  It sucks.

I bought the Hori controller online, but they send me the Pelican one by mistake.  I tried it and it just didn't work very well at all.  The D-Pad felt unresponsive and the entire thing reeked of cheapness.  I returned it and they send me my precious Hori.

If you can find the Hori I'd recommend getting that one instead--it's worth the extra $10 to $15 you'll have to spend.

Unfortunately they do not have a website, however you could try to give them a call and see if they would be willing to ship one to you... 215-824-4263

I don't think I paid more than $15 for mine.

I've ordered quite a number of things from this site before, but that was a few years ago.  It was pretty reliable, and had fast shipping.  You might want to give it a try.

Has the Hori Pad available in both colors for $20 Canadian each. It's where I got mine.
