This was my fourth year, and I've learned to manage the chaos pretty well.  If you want to get some work done, you know who to talk to and you make appointments.  There are definitely a ton of people that don't belong (one of my friends got a "SuperPass" somehow), but I was so focused on what needed to be done, I didn't even realize that the crowds were significantly larger this year.

BigJam: That guy is jsut a whinger in that article. "Nintendo didn't even have enough press kits" he whines, yet I was able to download their entire press booklet from their website as a pdf.

I'll never understand why people put a 'g' in 'whine'.  See it all the time though.

Anyway, this guy clearly knows little to nothing about how Nintendo PR works.  If you know anyone at all there, you can easily get something as basic as a press kit or a quick entry into the DS/Zelda/whatever area.  However, he does have a point in that Nintendo may not be so welcoming to a media source they don't know, even if said media source is sizable and influential.  That goes for other companies too, some much worse than Nintendo.  The Big N could certainly use as much PR exposure as possible, but they do have limited resources at such events, so realistically, they have to draw the line somewhere.  I'm sure if this guy approached the media desk with the right attitude and the right credentials, he could have gotten whatever he needed.  Apparently he had neither.

Whine and whinge, too different words, but they practically mean the same thing. Some people wonder why people keep leaving the g out of whinge.
