Topic: Super Monkey Ball 3?

I know nothing concerete has been announced about this, but UK website Play.com has SMB3 available for pre-order for £32.99 GBP.

I think with a release date of December 31st, I doubt it's going to hit then.

Is it likely Play got it entirely wrong and could remove it?

I doubt we'll get another GC exclusive from Sega again, they're too busy making sure the current exclusive games are ported to as many systems as possible. I don't believe Super Monkey Ball 3 for GC exists, as much as I want to.

Sega sent me a survey that they say will help them "prepare" for the next Monkey Ball installment.  Don't you think it's at least being planned?

I prefer to take the optimistic approach.  I think both of the other games sold very well on GameCube, so I'm sure Sega is planning the sequel for GameCube as well.  But I wouldn't be surprised if it was multi-system.

I duuuuuunnnooooo, pretty much every game Sega have planned at the moment are PS2/Xbox only. Plus there's the whole "We're porting everything that was exclusive on GC to PS2/Xbox but GC gets nothing from PS2/Xbox we have fleas" thing. They must of realized they were making some money off GameCube fans and got scared.

not on cube.  cube won't go online.  sure the games don't have online modes but what the hell.  We now have a new excuse for giving nintendo the shaft.  Thank you Sammy.

I'm not aiming to be optimistic (I'm taking a KDR approach here: Expect the lowest and everything else is a bonus!), but there's no mention of SMB3 for any other console on Play.

Sega is not working on it now.  they're too bust making the ports of 1 & 2 for xbox and ps2.  If they get on it before the end of this generation it'll only be on ps2 and cube.  they don't want to deal with Xenon yet.

The most idiotic idea possible would be Sega proclaiming the GC has no online capabilities. After all, Sega is prety much the only one who uses them.
