Well, at least it's not another Tony Hawk game.

Activision's Neversoft Studio In Development On New Intellectual Property Slated For Release In Fiscal 2006

Santa Monica, Ca - July 21, 2004 - Activision, Inc. today announced that one of its wholly owned studios, Neversoft, the creators behind the best-selling Tony Hawk franchise, is in development on a compelling new intellectual property that will bring Neversoft's world-renowned development prowess to a new genre. The unnamed title is slated for release in fiscal 2006, alongside a new game based on the Tony Hawk franchise that Neversoft will also develop for same fiscal year.

"We are very excited about Neversoft's new game, which is not a sports title, and will continue expanding the studio's development resources," stated Ron Doornink, CEO of Activision Publishing, Inc. "Neversoft is one of the industry's premier development studios and among a handful of developers worldwide with a consistent track record of success. To date, the Tony Hawk games have sold in excess of $800 million over the life of the franchise. Since 1999, Neversoft has developed six games in the action-sports and action-adventure genres, each of which have been critically acclaimed, multi-million-unit selling titles."

Headquartered in Santa Monica, California, Activision, Inc. is a leading worldwide developer, publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment and leisure products. Founded in 1979, Activision posted net revenues of $948 million for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2004.
