Announced during today's Nintendo Direct, Star Fox on Switch 2 is getting a free update at the end of the month. The update includes three new multiplayer stages. The stages are based on Katina, Sector X, and Venom. Like the three existing multiplayer stages, each of these features its own unique game mode and objective.

The update also adds support for local 4-player split-screen. In addition, up to four players can join an online match from the same console.

The free update is scheduled for launch on September 29, 2026.

Looking forward to these new levels. I paused this for backlaugust but need to get back in the multiplayer.

Ohhhh I can't wait for this! 3 more levels will add some much needed variety.
