Why go to Star Fox Adventures for bafomdads when you can do it on a beautiful island?

In a segment blissfully shorter than its unveiling, some new features were shown for Switch Sports Resort in today's Direct.

A free roaming mode was shown which allows for full exploration of Wuhu Island and the surrounding oceans, complete with the ability to find photos or other items that lead to new lookout points. A single player "Island Crown" mode was also shown, which has the player attempt to move up the ranks in a specific sport with "Island Legends" awaiting at the highest levels.
