Gamespot Reports that GC sales has rised 400% in UK after the price drop!

Good news for Cube! Hope it lasts over the holidays!

Err... im pretty sure Xbox and PS2 still outsold it by more than 400%

Werent the last sales we saw something like GC - 10, PS2 - 4000?

I think GC sales were like 500-1000, lol.

BTW, Xbox sales were 7000-7500, so we are atleast gaining on them. Just hope it it increases next week.

EDIT: And Ps2 sales were like 50,000. Can't believe it's selling so well in England.

Here in the UK there are MANY more advertisements for PS2 and X-Box. Where I am the shops are putting the X-Box and PS2 versions of Soul Calibur 2 at the front of their stores, and even the tv advert only shows theose versions, "forgetting" to put the GameCube version there as well. Even then though, the GC version sold the most!

Up 400% is a great start, I don't think that it's outselling X-Box yet though but it's definitely a start! Even the news that Argos and Dixons are restocking GameCube is promising for Nintendo coming up to the Christmas period!

yea i was going to say....so the cube sales went from 4 to 16 or what. what nintendo should have doe in my opinion is match the packaging tihng the xbox did...because when xbox did it, they were in dead last...now ninendo is in dead last....they didnt need to give away 4 games like xbox...just 2..and make them pay for 1. nintendo dropped the ball on this one if you ask me. too little too late in euro.

Yeah, that's only because Nintendo decided they'd distribute the GCN version themselves, so Namco left it up to Nintendo to advertise it. Overall, it meant giant posters in EB from Namco only claiming SCII was on PS2/Xbox, and most stores getting confused about the whole situation.

Here are the UK numbers for last week (October 6 - 11)

PlayStation 2 - 50,000 units
GameBoy Advance - 15,000 units
Xbox - 5,300 units
GameCube - 4,800 units
n-Gage - 500 units
