Yeah thing that mostly turned me off about this Final Fantasy is not that all girls are the characters for the game but that it seems that the game supposed to be really short.  People in Japan beat the game in a day!!!!

Couldn't they bring out another one of thier less exposed series? Like Front Mission 4 (Minus Teen angus)? This is one game that is due for a sequal. It also begs the question of when Final Fantasy is really the final fantasy.

Well it was called Final Fantasy beacause when they put it on Nintendo they thought it would flop and be their Final Fantasy.

Final fantasy actually had a "singing" job first. It's called bard. So technically, DQVII, copied off final fantasy.

Yeah I know about the Bard class, and I suppose you can draw a comparison there. Either way it isn't innovative.

All I can do now is hope FFXII rocks.

FFX-2 looks a little lame, but I'll still buy, and probably enjoy it.

We'll be getting Unlimited Saga this Summer.  That'll probably be cool.

For anyone that was wondering, this game has been given a release date of "sometime in December" which probaly means a delay until 2004 if past experiences are any indicator of the future releases.

it was time for a change.

They are!  Front Mission 4 is coming out next spring.

And each game is a "final" fantasy for its own separate world and characters.

I forgot to add whether it is coming out to Gamecube or not since if it does come out only on PS2 then It has been a waste of time. But I don't think I have to look very far to find my answer to that and no I will not be paying a new console just to play one game. Not my flavour.

Mm.. great multiple universes...

Well duh.  The numbered Final Fantasies (7,8,9,10,10-2,11,12) are all Playstation console exclusives.  This is so obvious, how could you miss it?  (The sky is blue too....go look.)

Well, I don't feel like letting this guy go .

It was not announced yet whether 12 will be exclusive or not. And FYI, 7, 8 and 11 were released on PC as well...
I'm not sure, was there even released more than just one pic (a random artwork) of FF12? I mean, we don't even know what it's about, yet people hype it up till kingdom come.

A PC is not a console.  I specifically said that the final fantasies (7-12) were CONSOLE-exclusive to the PS1/2.

And yes, FF12 has already been announced to be on the PS2 exclusively.  (Naturally. If you were making a AAA-title, the 12th in the 15-yr-old series, would you target the PS2 with 60 million consoles or the Cube/Box with only 12 million? The answer is obvious.  You target the largest audience.)

Tell me why SC2 didn't sell the most on PS2 then.

You can't make that claim.  We only have one month's worth of stats.... come back after the Christmas holiday, and THEN we'll see which console sold the most copies of Soul Calibur 2.  (ASIDE: Historically, PS2 games continue selling high amounts for several months, while Cube/Box games quickly fall off the chart.  I predict, over the long term, SC2 will sell best on the 60 million strong PS2 console.... not the 12 million Cube/Box.  The PS2 has a 5 to 1 advantage in potential SC2 buyers.)

ANYWAY, Final Fantasy 12 *is* exclusive to the Playstation.  Sony/Squaresoft have already signed the contract, and Squaresoft made the announcment.  It's a done deal, and nothing you say will alter that fact.

P.S. Another reason FF12 on the Cube does not make sense: NOT ENOUGH DISC SPACE.  The Cube disc only hold 1.5 gigabytes.  The PS2 holds 9 gigabytes.  Because Squaresoft *loves* putting movies in their Final Fantasy games, they *need* to have all the space they can get, and the PS2 provides that space (6 times more room).
