Interested to see how this will compare to Blaster Master: Overdrive, which released on WiiWare back in 2010. I skipped that game, but know it didn't review particularly well.
Although I hold the NES title in high esteem, it feels like a series that needs a sequel to improve on original gameplay before reaching it's full potential. Metroid on NES was great at the time, but not something I particularly enjoy going back to; but Super Metroid stands as one of my favorite games ever. Blaster Master feels like it has that same potential...
