Recover saved game?

Is there anyway of retreiving a saved game from the memory card?

My son accidently deleted a saved game. I know the data will still be there and won't be overwritten until he saves
new game data over the top of the existing data.

It's not a hard drive, it's a memory card.  Unless you have a degree in computer engineering and happen to have a good $10,000 worth of hardware laying around, you ain't going to be getting that save file back anytime soon.
