Help with ProLogic II
« on: June 18, 2003, 11:57:49 AM »
Hey everyone! My reciver is hooked up to both my gamecube and my dvd player.  When my dvd player outputs a signal that is not dolby digital 5.1 it switches to prologic mode, but its prologic mode is diffrent from my gamecubes set mode in 2 ways #1 it has the D icon with the word "dolby" and #2 it seperates the surround sound into 2 channels..anyone have any ideas for me?

reciver model:  Sony  Ht-DDW840

My guess is your DVD player is outputting audio only in the old Dolby Pro Logic (I) mode, which does not support 2 separate surround channels, unlike GameCube w/ Pro Logic II.
