Angry Birds Trilogy will be released through retail on the Nintendo 3DS this holiday season, according to developer Rovio.

The game is a combination of three pre-existing Angry Birds products: Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons, and Angry Birds Rio. The game will feature new cinematics and upgraded graphics, as well as additional extra content. Each level will also include its own individual leaderboard, so you can compete with yourself and others. The 3DS version of the game will utilize StreetPass in some way.

Stylistically, the game now features animated backgrounds, lighting modes, reactive backgrounds, and others not currently detailed.

No release date for the game was given, except for the tentative holiday season.

retail? Really its not a download?

I wonder what they will price it, I hardly think anyone will pay more than $9.99 retail for it, since you can easily get the games for a dollar a piece if not free

"Free" for the browser/Facebook versions. The iPod Touch/iPhone versions are usually $0.99 and iPad versions $1.99. Depending on what the new features are, I could see it being $20, though I am a little surprised it won't be a eShop release instead.

And Neg-G has nailed it on the head.  Without Space this is sort of a whats the point pack.  Everyone who wants Angry Birds has Angry Birds Portable already.  Its almost as bad as releasing something to make the 3DS a Cellphone.
